With The Underpants, Steve Martin, everyone's favorite "father of the bride" and "jerk" has adapted Carl Sternheim's play set in the early 1900s to meet the sensibilities of the present. The result is a humorously bawdy play about a very confused and under-appreciated housewife whose underpants change the lives of her and her very staid husband.
